How to Play

Pattern Burst is a visual memory game that trains your working memory and processing speed. Coloured shapes flash on screen one by one — your job is to remember the exact order and tap them back correctly.

Watch the sequence. Coloured shapes light up one by one. Study each shape carefully — remember its colour, its type, and its position in the sequence.

Recall the order. All shapes appear together in a scrambled grid. Tap them in the same order they appeared. A numbered badge shows each tap.

Earn stars. Get 90%+ accuracy for 3 stars, 75%+ for 2 stars, and 50%+ for 1 star. The game adapts to your skill level automatically!

Difficulty levels

EasyAges 6–8 — 3 shapes, 1.5s display, 4-tile grid. Great for beginners!
MediumAges 9–11 — 5 shapes, 1s display, 7-tile grid with 1 distractor. The default challenge.
HardAges 12–14 — 7 shapes, 0.7s display, 10-tile grid. Reverse mode unlocked!

Smart adaptation

The game automatically adjusts after each round. Do well and the sequences get longer and faster. Struggle and it gives you a little more time. After each 10-round session, an AI coach reviews your performance and sets the ideal starting point for your next session.

The 6 shapes

Circle, Square, Triangle, Star, Diamond, and Hexagon — each paired with up to 6 bright colours: red, blue, green, yellow, purple, and orange. Every shape is always visually distinct from every other shape so colour is never your only clue.
