How to Play Block Drop

Blocks of different shapes fall from the top of the board one at a time. Move and rotate each block to fit it into the stack below. When you fill an entire horizontal row with no gaps, that row is cleared and you earn points. The game ends when the stack reaches the top of the board.

Desktop Controls

  • ← → — Move piece left or right
  • ↑ — Rotate piece clockwise
  • ↓ — Soft drop (fall faster)
  • Space — Hard drop (instantly place piece)
  • P — Pause / resume

Mobile Controls

  • Tap — Rotate piece
  • Swipe left / right — Move piece
  • Swipe down — Soft drop
  • Swipe up — Hard drop
  • Use the on-screen buttons below the board for precise control

Scoring

  • 1 line cleared: 100 × level
  • 2 lines at once: 300 × level
  • 3 lines at once: 500 × level
  • 4 lines at once (Block Drop!): 800 × level

Every 10 lines you advance a level, which speeds up the falling blocks. Try to clear multiple lines at once to maximise your score.

Tips

  • Watch the ghost piece (faded outline) to see exactly where your block will land.
  • Keep the stack flat and low — don't let gaps build up in the middle.
  • Use hard drop (Space) to place pieces quickly at higher levels.
  • Plan ahead using the Next piece preview.
